PREDS COACHING STAFF
CAITLIN ROONEY
HEAD COACH
Caitlin Rooney is a Yorktown Heights native and graduate of Lakeland HS, where she was named an All-American in Field Hockey and Lacrosse. Caitlin then went on to become a 4-year Division 1 college athlete at the University of Rhode Island and has since been coaching lacrosse for 10+ years.
Caitlin has been with the Preds program since its inception, working with our 2024 and 2028 Preds teams throughout the years before leading our 2030 team. Caitlin also serves as a Coach for Sacred Heart Greenwich’s Field Hockey and Lacrosse teams.
TAYLOR FISCHER
HEAD COACH
Taylor Fischer is a Ridgefield, CT native, who graduated from Ridgefield HS, where she was a two-time All-FCIAC and Class L All-State team member for lacrosse, accumulating 185 points during her HS career. She was also named an Academic All-American in 2011 and 2012.
Taylor then played 4-years of Division 1 lacrosse at Colgate University, where she was a 4-year starting attacker. She joined the Preds coaching staff in 2022 and previously coached for Rye Youth Lacrosse.
PAYTON SFREDDO
ASSISTANT COACH
Payton Sfreddo is a Rye, NY native, who is currently a senior at Sacred Heart Greenwich in CT, where she has been a 3-sport star and captain for their Field Hockey, Basketball, and Lacrosse teams. Payton is the recipient of SHG’s 2021 and 2022 Riley Athletic Award, given to their most valuable athlete, and has been named All-League/All-NEPSCAC/Team MVP multiple times across the 3-sports. She was also named a USA Lacrosse Academic All-American as a Junior in 2023.
Payton was an integral member of our Preds 2024 team since the start and she will continue her college lacrosse career next year at the University of Virginia in the ACC Conference.
WOWIE WALKER
ASSISTANT COACH
Wowie Walker is a Rye, NY native, who is currently a senior at Sacred Heart Greenwich in CT, where she has been a major contributor for their nationally ranked Lacrosse team as a skilled Attacker.
Wowie was an integral member of our Preds 2024 team for a number of years and has coached our Preds youth teams since the fall of 2023. She will continue her college lacrosse playing career at D3 powerhouse, Middlebury College.
