BRENDAN CURRAN

HEAD COACH

Brendan Curran has over 50 years of playing/coaching experience, serving as an All-Conference Midfielder at SUNY Cortland, where he played on two NCAA National Championship Runner-Up teams.

Since then, Brendan has coached boys’ varsity lacrosse at Trinity in NYC, North Salem (a program he started), and Scarsdale HS (his alma mater), where he was named Hudson Valley Section 1 Coach of the Year. On the girls’ side of the game, Brendan initially coached for the Westchester Elite and Yellow Jackets club programs, but has been an integral member of the Predators coaching staff since 2022.

Brendan is currently a Spanish teacher at Lakeland HS, where he coaches girls’ and boys’ tennis and freshman basketball.

ABBY WITCZAK

ASSISTANT COACH

Abby Witczak graduated from Mendham High School in 2013 as a 4-time State Champion in New Jersey. She was then a 4-year starter in goal at Division 1 Marist College and was the 2014 MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) Rookie of the Year and 2017 Goalkeeper of the Year. Abby holds the record for most career wins in program history at 40.

Abby currently works in the Athletic Department at Iona College and has been coaching club lacrosse since the summer of 2015.

GRACE CURRAN

ASSISTANT COACH

Grace Curran was a three-sport varsity athlete and team MVP at North Salem High School, where she was All-Section in Soccer, Basketball, and Lacrosse. Grace graduated in 2019 as North Salem’s all-time leading scorer in Lacrosse with 276 total goals and 105 assists and was also her division’s player of the year her senior year in soccer.

Collegiately, Grace played D1 Lacrosse at Rutgers University in the Big Ten Conference, before transferring to the University of New Hampshire, where she has been the second-leading scorer on the team. Grace recently graduated from UNH with a BA in Communications and is finishing out her last year to play lacrosse and get her Masters in Education.

From a coaching standpoint, Grace has run the White Plains girls summer lacrosse camp, coached Horace Greeley’s 5/6 travel team, and coached with Westchester Elite and the Yellow Jackets before joining the Predators in 2022.

2028's Curriculum

- Fall and spring/summer practices are held at the Rye Country Day School (Turf Fields) and/or SUNY Purchase (Grass/Turf Fields).
- Winter practices are held indoors at Velocity Sports Performance in Hawthorne, NY.
- 2-3 elite coaches per team who have played at the highest levels.
- 65+ playing opportunities throughout the year, including 22 indoor lacrosse and strength/conditioning sessions in the winter.

Fall 2023
- 7 Sunday morning team practices at the Rye Country Day School, starting September 10th
- 7 Monday “Wall Ball/Stick Work” skill sessions at SUNY Purchase
- 2 Indoor Team Practices on Monday nights in November at Velocity Sports Performance Hawthorne
- 3 Top-Tier Tournaments
- GOALIE TRAINING: 7 total sessions on Monday nights from 5:30-6:30pm at SUNY Purchase

Winter 2023-2024
- 11 Indoor Team Practices / Lacrosse Sessions led by Predators’ Directors / Coaches on SUNDAYS from December – early March at Velocity Sports Performance Hawthorne
- 11 Specialized Speed/Strength/Conditioning sessions on SUNDAYS led by Velocity Sports Performance

Spring 2024
- Players compete with their respective town teams but we also offer 4 Spring Team Practices, typically held on late SUNDAY afternoons at SUNY Purchase in April/early May

Summer 2024
- 12 – 14 Team Practices, typically held on Tuesday/Thursday nights at the Rye Country Day School, starting in late May
- 4 Top-Tier Tournaments
