Curriculum

FALL

Seven team practices on Sunday mornings at SUNY Purchase starting mid September – October/early November.

Seven “Wall Ball” sessions held during the week with a focus on sharpening stick skills and shooting.

Seven “Skill Focused” team sessions on Thursdays with an emphasis on fundamentals and small-sided drills.

Two to three top-tier tournaments in November.

WINTER PLATINUM PACKAGE

24 indoor workouts taking place at Westchester Turf and Tennis from December through February (offered at cost).

Take advantage of the 12 week (2 practices per week) 90-minute session training program Predators Lacrosse has created for their athletes through Velocity Sports Performance.

Each practice consists of 45 minutes – 1 hour of lacrosse led by Predators’ coaches, with a focus on stick work and skills on the indoor turf fields. The other 45 minutes consists of specialized speed/strength/conditioning overseen by Jordan Bledsoe, NASM Credentialed ~ Performance Enhancement Specialist at Velocity Sports. Jordan and his team at Velocity have created a tailored approach for specific age levels that focuses mainly on: Multiplanar Corrective Exercise, Applied Strength Progressions, and Athletic Movement Based Training.

SPRING

Players compete with their respective town teams. Certain Predators teams may compete in The National Girls Lacrosse League, which is the only nationwide girls youth league in existence. The best 4th-8th grade girls teams compete in one of 13 regional leagues across the country with the winners all coming together to crown a National Champion on Memorial Day weekend in conjunction with the NCAA National Championship.

SUMMER

12-14 weeknight team practices at the end of May – early July.

Three to four top-tier tournaments.
